I did not have no sympathy for the two characters in the book. Both main characters personality are poorly developed. The male character is a lunatic that does not know what he wants and, supposedly he is the adult, he is the mature person in this relationship. He asks her to stay and then he throws her out of his apartment, and at night.
He is hot and cold. While reading I have the impression that he is borderline maniac, with high and lows.
The female character the author describes her as a doormat. She constantly forgives him regardless how he treats her. They trying to built a relationship with no foundation, even the chemistry is not described well. The author constantly writes about her biting her lips and apologizing to him.
This mummerh is so badly written. The story is at times confusing because the author moves too fast. The male of the story have trust issues and well the female has a lot of insecurities.
The author instead of focusing in developing their relationship honr rushes forward with both characters promising each other love. How can an author publish such teeresa story. Book is underdeveloped in all aspects, not well developed characters, no strong theme, no plot.

I had zeries skip most of it just to finish reading. Do you remember elementary school when the teacher would have you write a story and you could draw a picture to illustrate your story?
Aeries know, the stories that were about four lines that went something like: Now we are back in school. Every line was dry. There was no descriptive content. There was nothing that was really emotional or compelling about the story, the characters, or their pasts. The so-called story is only actions. For a book that focuses mainly on actions, some of the characters actions are missing.
Actions that would better explain what is going on in the story are missing. Actions during the sex scenes are missing.
Honor Series by Teresa Mummert
And the actions aren’t the only thing. The dialogue is pretty non-existent and the dialogue that exists isn’t good. And there is another thing that is very important that is missing from the story On the same page, the main character will be doing one thing in one location in one paragraph and in the very next paragraph, she will be doing something else.
It was pretty confusing. More importantly, it was just bad writing. Honestly, this is one of the worst books that I have ever read. I would never recommend this story to another person. It just isn’t worth your time or your effort. I’m a sucker for a good cover, so this one grabbed my attention right out of the gate. I also love a story with good smexy smex going down with a really engaging plot and from the sample, I knew I had to pick this one up. Who hasn’t had a bit of a crush on a teacher at one time or another?
I know that if I had a professor like William Honor, I would have definitely thrown caution to the wind, but one of the things I liked about Honor Student was that Emma constantly questioned her attraction and stuff at the beginning.
It made it a lot more real for me and when they actually overcame their obstacles, the payoff was greater. I downloaded all 3 books in this series preparing for a long weekend.
First, lets just SLOW down The whole time reading this, it’s almost like there’s a back story that the reader doesn’t know about I seriously thought I mistakingly was reading book 2 first. AND I kept asking myself ‘is this high school or college’? I didn’t hate it, and that’s only to say I kept reading it thinking it would all make sense in the end As it came to and end One person found this helpful.
I felt as if their relationship was rushed. Their first contact in his classroom happened within a couple of days of William being introduced into the story. How did he know Emma wouldn’t report him? Within the second or third sexual act they were already saying they loved each other and that was within a week, if that. I didn’t feel the connection between the two. Overall it was an OK book.
I wish the author described more in depth of their feelings, their separate situation, why William turned to BDSM to fulfill his sexual needs after Abby left him, why Emma’s aunt is so distant and cold towards her, what exactly happened to Emma’s parents, why would Emma take everything William dished out without blinking an eye if she’s so innocent.
I think all those things are important to add depth and emotion to their story. Maybe then I’d understand why Emma put up with William. Without it their relationship felt juvenile.
Throughout the whole book it seemed more like a high school student and teacher relationship. See all reviews.
